Designed and built by Severiano Ballesteros, Oliva Nova golf course covers some 50 hectares. It is a par 72 18 hole links course, with water coming into play on 15 holes. The only holes without this hazard are numbers 2, 13 and 14. It is a technical course, with soft undulations, easy to walk, and made up with the traditional formula of four par 3s, four par 5s and ten par 4s where good shots are rewarded and bad ones are penalised.
